Who We Are

We are a research-based company founded by an obstetrician for obstetricians with a focus on developing the best fetal monitoring technology for mothers and babies. Our goal is to become the obstetrician’s tool of choice in evaluating and managing fetal development and the safe and timely progress of labor as well as improving the safety and outcome of labor.

OB Tools was founded on a simple premise with a clear goal: To improve the health of mothers and babies. Our technology was born of the dream of an experienced Ob/Gyn physician with years of labor and delivery experience to improve on the finicky and unreliable Toco system as well as to avoid the inevitable infections and complications of internal monitors.

The TrueLabor^TM Technology is the realization of years of research and refinement combining the best of obstetrical care with our ground-breaking digital signal-processing technology.

The TrueLabor^TM Technology combined with our Embrace Sensor, allows rapid application and the start of monitoring within seconds. The TrueLabor^TM Technology filter out the distractions and deliver the contractions.

Meet Our Leadership Team

ELON RESHEF, DVM – CEO

Dr.Elon Reshef holds a Doctor degree in Veterinary Medicine (Cum Laude) since 1998. As CEO of OB Tools Ltd , Dr.Reshef brings an Industry experience of more than 20 years in all fields of the biomedical industry. Fund raising , Business development and new markets introduction ,Building marketing and sales teams , through all R&D ,clinical and marketing phases of new products . Among previous positions :CEO at Invatin Technologies Ltd, CEO and Founder at EQLibra Medical Ltd ,Medical Director Allium Medical ,Senior advisor to Biosense Webster IL, GO Incubator ,Meytav Incubator , Elutex Ltd ,G-Sense and others.

MONI CARMELI, B.Sc. – VP R&D

Moni Carmeli is OB-Tools’ VP R&D. He is responsible for research and development of OB-Tools’ future and existing fetal monitoring technology for mothers and babies. Moni served in the Israeli Air Force (IAF) in charge of advanced flight and weapon system computers and graduated cum laude with a B.Sc. degree from the Technion Faculty of Computer Engineering in Haifa. At the beginning of his career, Moni worked at Elbit Systems in a number of managerial positions including product development and aircraft upgrade systems. He then joined CMT Medical Technologies as VP R&D in the digital X-ray field. Then, Moni held the position of VP R&D in the motion control field at ACS Motion Control. Before joining INSIGHTEC, he was Systems Development Director in the vital signs and independent body navigation fields at Elcam Medical.

TAMIR BEN-DAVID – PRESIDENT

Dr. Ben David holds a Ph.D (with honors) in Physics and an MBA from Tel Aviv University. Dr. Ben David has 17 years of management experience, including 15 years in the medical device industry. Previously, he has served as the first CEO of BSP, VP at BioControl Medical, General Manager at CerebralRx, and CEO of BSP. Dr. Ben David has filed over 90 patents, covering implantable devices, nerve and tissue stimulation, signal processing, control systems and broadcasting.

YEHUDA SHARF, Ph.D – CTO

Dr. Yehuda Sharf holds a Ph.D in Physics and an MBA from Tel Aviv University. Dr. Yehuda Sharf also holds a Postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School and MIT. He has an extensive experience as a technological leader in innovative medical device companies. Previously, he has served as CEO at Cardiogal Ltd in cardiac monitoring and served as VP R&D and CTO at Barnev Ltd in the field of fetal and labor monitoring. He joined OB-Tools in 2018 as CTO.
